Q: What's new with the Meibox 2.0 Software?
A: Some of the change in Meibox 2.0 include:
- Improved intuitive panel
- Background uploading of data to decrease capture delay time
- Improved interface with Windows 10
- Ability to enter additional dry eye data points including MMP-9, Dry Eye Survey Scores and Osmolarity Scores
- Support software for launch of the new MX2 Camera System
- Much more....
Q: Will it be necessary to update to the new Meibox Software?
A: Yes, we believe that the new software will provide a superior customer experience and will no longer be providing support for the Meibox 1 software starting May 31st.
Q: What are the minimum requirements for the new Meibox Software 2.0?
A: Your computer requirements will be the same as those for Meibox 1, but the new software will require Windows 10. In anticipation of Microsoft discontinuing Windows 7 in early 2020, we are updating our software to support and run more efficiently in Windows 10. In addition, due to security concerns and lack of support for Windows 7, it is advised that all users make the transition to update their applications to prevent security breaches within their clinic.
Q: Will I need to install the software on all my computers at once?
A: It is very highly recommended that if you start the installation process of the new software that the old software be discontinued and no longer utilized. Since data will be ported over on a daily basis from the old software, it is recommended that if you plan to install the new software, to install it on all computers at once.
Q: Will my data be transferred over to the Meibox 2.0 Software?
A: Absolutely! You will not lose any data. The cloud design and storage of data will allow for a seemless transition to the new Meibox 2.0 Software.
Q: What happens if I don't install the new client software?
A: Service for Meibox 1 Software will run in tandem with Meibox 2.0 for 60 days, but eventually we will terminate service for Meibox 1.0 on May 31st, 2019.
Q: How do I install the software?
A: Great question! The first thing that needs to be done is to uninstall your current software. From your windows Program Manager, uninstall the current Meibox Software in your computer system. Click on the link below to download the new software and double click. Follow the prompts and you will have your new software installed! Make sure that you record your username that you are currently using on your software.
Q: Why doesn't my old password work on the new software?
A: Since we are updating the server, the passwords will be reset. To access your new software account, you will need to request password with your username that you are currently using on your old software. Make sure that this is a valid email account and you will be emailed a new temporary password. If you still cannot figure out how to access it, don't hesitate to email your original Meibox Consultant for assistance or schedule a time for us to help you with your installation!
